Add my storyBiography contributed by Carol Foster
Son of James O'Meara and Annie Maria O'Meara nee Donnellan of Rochford, Victoria.
Report of death says he was reported missingand supposed to have fallen overboard. Note on file: 'This man disappeared off HT 20 "Hororata" in a mysterious manner, after leaving Albany. He was therefore never shown as an overseas man.'
As he was not considered to have left Australian waters at the time of his death he was not eligible for any medals.
