Private John Leslie Huth (Service Nos:Q46293/Q203658) enlisted with the ACMF on 13 September 1940 and was attached to AASC Supply Column when he was Discharged on 14 April 1942. On 22 April 1942 he re-enlisted and served with 5 VDC (QLD) until Discharge on 21 October 1945.
Born in 1915 at Benowa via Southport QLD, John was the fifth of seven children of Wilhelm Carl Robert Huth (b1879 at Pimpama Isalnd, QLD) and Alice Mary Gill (b1883 in Dalby, QLD). Wilhelm (a Labourer) and Alice married in 1910 in Southport, QLD and settled at Benowa via Southport where they raised their family and Wilhelm was a Dairy Farmer.
John was a Labourer at Benowa via Southport when he enlisted in the ACMF and in 1945 he married Norma Margaret Atwell (b1920 in Southport, QLD). John and Noma settled at Benowa via Southport where John was a Labourer and Grazier. Norma died in 1972 and John in 1990.
