Douglas BRACKENRIDGE was born on 6th September, 1860 in South Australia

His parents were Andrew BRACKENRIDGE and Margaret McINTYRE

He married Agnes Ann WEDEMEYER nee GIVENS on 6th September, 1899 at the Christian Chapel in Hindmarsh, SA

Biography

Was Douglas Brackenridge the oldest man to enlist in WW1? He listed his age as 44, but birth records show he was most likely 55 at enlistment and almost 56 when killed in action in France.

"THE LATE PRIVATE DOUGLAS BRACKENRIDGE.
