Son of John and Alice Rattinbury Erickson of 13 North Road, Newport, Victoria
Also served in the State School Cadets
Private Percival Erickson, killed in action, aged 24, was wardsman at the Church of England Grammar School, St. Kilds road, resided at Newport with his widowed mother and brother and sister. He was a keen sportsman, an active member of the now defunct Dover Cricket Club at Williamstown, and very highly esteemed by all. His parents settled in the district about 48 years ago. He was a good and devoted son.
