A PATIENT SUFFERER AT REST
REMEMBERED BY THOSE
WHO LOVED HIM
The death occurred at Wangaratta on Sunday last of Mr. Richard Brook, at the age of 59 years. The deceased was well know in the Jamieson and old Darlingford districts, and for many years he was employed as a patrolman and a bridge builder by the Mansfield shire. The funeral took place at the Alexandra cemetery on Tuesday last. Mitchell's had charge of the funeral arrangements. (Mr. Walter Brook and Mr. Joe Brook, of Alexandra, are brothers of the deceased). The late Mr. Brook was a returned soldier from the last war, and was well liked and highly respected by all who knew him. The flag at the R.S.L. Club Room was flown at half mast, and the R,S.L. funeral ritual was read by Mr. D. Nicolson (President of the Alexandra Branch R.S.L.) The
coffin bearers were - Messrs. F. James, D Nicolson, S. Stillman and A. Gilbert. The pall bearers were-Messrs. J. Brook, A. Boyle, J. Newman, H. Hughes, F. Hughes, P. Newman. Rev. E. A. Leaver officiated at the graveside.
