Biography

Charles enlisted with the TSLI Battalion on 15-09-1939. He Served in Syria, Singapore, New Guinea, Borneo, Japan, Korea and Malaya. His outstanding leadership and bravery earned him the Military Medal, awarded in 1957. He spent the majority of his time serving in the 2/33 Battalion. He also served in the 1st Anti-Tank Regiment, 1RAR, 2RAR, 3RAR and 2AIF. On 4-4-1961 Charles was discharged. Having served in the armed forces for over 20 years in 3 wars.
