Son of Edward John Bechervaise and Lizzie Charlotte Bechervaise nee Barton of 17 Malop Street, Geelong Victoria. Brother of Alexander MC Fullford Bechervaise who returned to Australia has served with the 5th Battalion. Awarded MC for actions on 10th August 1918 during the attack of Lihons, Dyzie Bechervaise and Rupert Miall Bechervaise,
