Corporal Gordon Andrew Muddle (Service Nos:QX48296/Q48254) initially enlisted in the ACMF on 14 January 1941 and was attached to 7 Field Ambulance - classified Nursing Orderley. By February 1943 Corporal Muddle was a Medical Orderley serving with 1 Australian Sea Ambulance Medical Staff in the Pacific Ocean on board HT Taroona. Corporal Muddle was Discharged on 22 February 1946.

Born in 1909 in Sydney NSW, Gordon was the youngest of three children of Joseph Muddle (b1879 in Halton, NSW) and Letitia (Letty) Paxton (b1881 in Staffordshire, England) - Letty immigrated with her parents and siblings in 1866, arriving in Brisbane, QLD on board the Duke of Westminster. Joseph was a Mattress Maker in 1904 when he and Letty married in Brisbane, QLD. The family lived in Sydney NSW before settling in Brisbane where Joseph was a Mattress Maker.

Gordon worked as a Salesman and French Polisher and in 1935 in Brisbane QLD married Evelyn Joyce Lea (b1913 at Laidley on the Darling Downs, QLD). Gordon and Evelyn settled in Brisbane QLD where Gordon worked as a French Polisher. Gordon died in 1981 and Evelyn in 2000.
