Private Noreen Gladys Munt (Service No:Q268026) enlisted in the Australian Army Womens' Medical Service on 5 January 1943 and was attached to 117 Australian General Hospital when she was Discharged on 1 December 1944. Private Munt's father - Henry Morton Munt (Service No:QX31729) - and brother Morton (Service No:425874) also served in WWII.

Born in 1926 in Biggenden QLD, Noreen was the second child of Henry Morton Munt (b1903 in Dallarnil, Biggenden, QLD) and Gladys Catherine Spencer (b1900 in Tyrone, QLD). Henry (a Farmer) and Gladys married in 1923 in Biggenden QLD and settled in Dallarnil where they raised their family and Henry was a Farmer.

Noreen married Alan Bruce Flanagan (b1924 in Lilydale, Victoria) in 1944 in Brisbane, QLD - Alan was a Private (Service No:VX102181). Noreen and Alan lived in Childers and Eidsvold,  where they raised their family and Alan was a Fettler/Ganger and Noreen a Station Mistress. Noreen died in 1999 and Alan in 2017.
