Son of Robert Wilson Ronald and Veronica McGeorge Ronald of 'Nap Nap', Hay, NSW.

Brother of Angus Cameron Ronald who returned to Australia on 3 July 1919 havogn served with the 8th Light Horse Regiment and Robert Bruce Ronald MC who returned to Australia on 15 February 1918 having served with the 6th Light Horse Regiment
