Private Thomas William Withmore Reynolds (Service No:Q151774) served in the ACMF with General Details Depot (GDD) from 11 May 1942 to 27 October 1945.
Born in Boonah QLD in 1908, Tom was the only child of Thomas Michael Reynolds (b1873 in Toowoomba, QLD) and Mary Ellen Whitmore (b1870 in Mackay, QLD). Thomas and Mary married in 1920 in Boonah, where Thomas was a Storekeeper. In the mid 1920s the couple settled at Grantham via Helidon on the Darling Downs, and Thomas was a Farmer.
Tom was a Labourer in Brisbane in 1936 when he married Jean Purdy Grayson (b1914 in Fifeshire, Scotland) - Jean immigrated with her parents and siblings in 1926, arriving in Brisbane on board the Sophocles. Tom and Jean settled in Brisbane, where they raised their family and Tom worked as a Traveller and a Collector for Cash Order Ltd. Following his Discharge from the Army, Tom and Jean lived in Brisbane (Coorparoo and Wynnum) and Tom worked as a Salesman. Tom died in 1972 and Jean in 1987.
