His Service & Brothers
Ronald Leslie Schache served in the Militia from 1933 then joined the AIF as soon as the call went out to form the second AIF.
He was one of 4 brothers who served during WWII. Both older brothers were long term Navy servicemen - Walter Herbert Schache KIA HMAS Sydney in Nov 1941 had enlisted in 1919. The next older brother Bernard Vincent Schache had enlisted in the Navy in 1926. Ronald's younger brother Norman Henry Schache also served in the Army.
