Cedric Elihu THISTLETHWAITE was born on 10th December, 1923 in Brisbane, Queensland

His parents were Louis/Lewis Victor THISTLETHWAITE and Gertrude Amelia WOODS who married on 25th September, 1920 in Queensland

Cedric enlisted in Brisbane on 28th May, 1942 and his posting at discharge on 30th January, 1943 was with the 1 A/A T Regiment

He married Dawn Madonna GOUGH on 26th June, 1948 - 3 known children - Derek, Diane & Suzette Dawn.

He died on 17th November, 1988 aged 64 years and is buried in Samford Cemetery

His father Louis Victor (SN4790) also served in WW1 in the 26th and 42nd Battalion (1st AIF) and in the 1st Garrison Battalion in WW2
