Sapper Thomas Frederick Walker (Service Nos:QX53687/Q59848) served in the Australian Army from June 1943 to December 1944. He was attached to 55 Field Park Coy when he was Discharged.

Born in Ipswich QLD in 1917, Tommy was the third of four children of Thomas Walker (b1891 in Ipswich, QLD) and Daisy May Woolley (b1893 in Newcastle, NSW). Thomas (a Coal Miner) and Daisy married in 1913 in Ipswich, QLD where they settled and raised their family and Thomas worked as an Engine Driver.

Tommy was a Labourer in Ipswich QLD in 1942 when he married Daphne Grace Smith (b1924). Following his Discharge, Tommy and Daphne settled in Brisbane, living at Scarborough where Tommy was a Bus Driver begore moving to Sandgate where he worked as a Hardware Asistant and Sales Representative. Tommy died in 1960 and Daphne in 2011.
