Lawrence Vincent Roy WOMERSLEY was born on 3rd March, 1897 in Stawell, Victoria

His parents were Frederick WOMERSLEY and Elizabeth CORNISH who married in Victoria in 1867 - his father was born in Nottingham, England & his mother was born in Somerset - he was one of 14 children

His brother Walter Rupert Newland WOMERSLEY also served in WW1 - SN502 & returned to Australia in 1919
