Aldersey, Wilfrid Egerton (WE), Private born Canowie, 7 March 1877, single, previously a member 1st Squadron Mounted Rifles. Invalided to Australia November 1900. Died 1946, buried North Road Cemetery, Nailsworth, South Australia
Mr. Wilfred Egerton Aldersey, who died on Saturday, was a veteran of the Boer War. Well known in business circles, Mr. Aldersey was accountant of the Adelaide Electric Supply Co., until his retirement about five years ago. A keen athlete and amateur boxer in his youth, he was a past-president of the Grange Golf Club. He has left a widow. Members of the South African War Veterans' Association and the Henley and Grange sub-branch of the RSL attended his funeral yesterday.
