Harold Hindmarsh BARTON was born on 22nd November, 1878 in Bourke, NSW
His parents were Edmund Butcher BARTON & Ellen (Nellie) Catherine MORRIS who married on 23rd March, 1876 in Bogan River, Chartlon Station, NSW
He served during the Boer War as a Private with the NSW Imperial Bushmen
He married Ethel Louise TAYLOR on 25th April, 1905 in Orange, NSW
Harold died in Brisbane on 28th June 1960 & was cremated at Mount Thompson Memorial Gardens & Crematorium

On the National Archives it stated he was a Serviceman during WW1 but no record can be found - it is possible he served under another name due to his age
