The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918 written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017, refer to pages 94+95 and 268. Prior to the war he was a clerk of Mosman NSW. He enlisted 8th April 1916 aged 18 years. He served with the 33rd Infantry Battalion and rose to the rank of Corporal. He earned a MID- Mention in Dispatches for his services. He survived the war, and departed the UK for home 3rd jULY 1919.
