Biography

"Cane Farmer Crushed to Death

CAIRNS: Louis Samuel Christensen (63), cane farmer, of Sawmill Pocket Road, Edmonton, was crushed to death yesterday morning when a tractor he was driving fell over a 20ft bank and crashed into a dry creek bed. The tractor overturned and Christensen was pinned underneath. His head was severely crushed and it is believed death was instantaneous. At the time of the accident Christensen was scarifying a cane paddock on his property." - from the Warwick Daily News 07 Nov 1952 (nla.gov.au)
