Son of Peter Sager and Janer Sager nee McBride of Geelong, Victoria

During 1911c he married Rosina Hargreaves of Spring Street, Geelong, Victoria..

Commenced return to Australia on 10 May 1917 aboard HT Runic. In Fremantle while the ship was berth he was struck in the head by a hawser and was killed instantly
