Private John Thomas McIntosh enlisted with his cousin 1050 Private John Daniel McIntosh (/explore/people/788100) in the 5th Victorian Mounted Rifles. Having joined together they both have consecutive numbers.

McINTOSH.—On June 24, at Alfred Hospital, John Thomas, dearly beloved husband of Alice McIntosh, 30 Gilbert road, Ivanhoe, and dearly loved father of Violet (Mrs. H. Skewes), Dorothy (Mrs. D. Anderson), Joyce (Mrs. A. Strange), Douglas (A.I.F.), and Keith, aged 65 years, a South African veteran. — A patient sufferer at rest.

McINTOSH.—On June 24, at Alfred Hospital, John Thomas McIntosh, loved father of Violet, and loved father-in-law of Herbert Skewes.
