Correct name- Patrick Christopher Pluck.
When Patrick Christopher Pluck enlisted in 1901 in the 6th QIB and his details were published with the rank and file in The Queenslander, 13 Apr 1901, he noted his N.O.K. as Patrick Pluck, Petrie Bight. In the Boer War Service Paybooks for the 6th QIB, Bk 2 p. 25, his name is also recorded as Patrick Christopher Pluck, as is his death registration held by BDM Qld.
He was admitted to Eventide Nursing Home, Sandgate, Qld, in Mar 1949 suffering a heart condition. On his admission record it notes his name as Patrick Christopher Pluck and that; he was aged 68 and born 6 Jan 1881 at Galway, Ireland; he was single and prior occupation was Fireman; he was a Boer War veteran; and that he had previously lived at Bunya. His funeral notice notes he had also lived at Gympie prior to Bunya.
Patrick Christopher Pluck was born on 6 Jan 1881 at Galway, Ireland, a son to Patrick Joseph Pluck and Julia Mary Pluck (nee Luff).
