BOER WAR VETERAN
Death of Capt. E. Richman Capt. Edward Richman, who died yesterday at his home in Pulsford road, Prospect, served in the 5th Imperial Bushmen's Corps in the Boer War. He was a member of the South African War Veterans' Association. Born 72 years ago, he was the only son of the late Mr. John Henry Richman (owner of Mount Brown and Lincoln Gap Stations, near Clare). Capt. Richman left at an early age for abroad, where he received his education. He returned at the age of 21 and assisted his father on Lincoln Gap Station. Capt. Richman was one of the veterans who formed a guard of honor for the Duke of York a few years ago. He was a cousin of Sir Charles Ferguson (one time Governor General of New Zealand). Mrs. Lillian Richman (widow) survives. Mrs. F. A. Gregory, of Hampshire, England, is a sister.
Members of the South African War Veterans' Association attended the burial serice at North Road Cemetery this afternoon.
