When William Charles Sinclair enlisted in 1901 in the 6th QIB and his details were published with the rank and file in The Queenslander, 13 Apr 1901, he noted his N.O.K. as Mrs. W. C. Sinclair, Molangool via Gin Gin. In the original Nominal Roll for the 6th Queensland Imperial Bushmen Contingent, held by National Archives, it is recorded his N.O.K. was his mother.
He enlisted again in 1915 for WW1 and on his Attestation Form, dated 23 Mar 1916, it is noted that; he was born at Molangool Station (Gin Gin) , was 36 years 4 months of age and was working as a labourer; he was married and his N.O.K. was his wife Mrs Mary Ann Sinclair, Bundaberg; and he had previously served in the 6th QIB in the Boer war.
William Charles Sinclair was born on 3 Sep 1879 at "Molangool Station" via Gin Gin, a son to Charles Sinclair and Ellen Sinclair (nee Brazier). He was twice married. He married Mary Ann Proctor Stallard on 16 Oct 1905 in Queensland. He later married Anna Clara Auguste Kopittke on 24 Jun 1935.
