Biography

Alan enlisted In 1963, did his recruit training at 1 RTB and Corps training at Inf Ctr. He then joined 2 RAR and was in 1966 transferred to 5 RAR and deployed to Vietnam in April. Alan completed the Tour and redeployed in February 1969. On 21st August he was severely WIA on Op Camden, in the VC Hat Dich Secret Zone and was Medevaced to Australia. Alan also spent time in Singapore and retired with the rank of WO2.
