Stanley Gordon Coe was born on the 18th of October 1893 in Gladstone South Australia. He was the son of Mrs. Catherine Theresa Monaghan and Mr. John Coe. He was a fireman before he enlisted on the 4th of July became Private and in the same year, he embarked aboard HMAT A68 Anchises on the 28 of August 1916.

A few years later in 1919 he married his wife Edith Annie Louise and they had to children together both girls named Muriel Constance Coe and Melba Edith Coe where they settled in the Clare area.

Stanley Gordon Coe sadly passed away in 1949 in South Australia and is buried in Centennial Cemetery in South Australia.
