John Seddelbahr Marchant was born on the 27th August 1915 at Launceston, Tasmania, Australia.

He was the Son of John Marchant and Agnes Marie Heydinrych.

John Seddelbahr Marchant was a Tasmanian Champion Track Bike Racer, he loved building radios from scratch and built numerous boats with his Brother Reginald Tasman Marchant.
