Roydon James Tringrove was born on the 17th January 1923 at Kingston, Tasmania, Australia.

He was the Son of Leo Ernest Tringrove and Sadie Pauline Rosetta Brown.

He enlisted on the 21st July 1942 and was discharged on the 18th January 1946.

At the time of enlistment he was working as a Labourer for Jones and Company in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia.
