Ivor Clarence Balmain, born 14 June 1924 to Irene May Balmain (nee Byrne) and Robert Percy Balmain (/explore/people/194157) of Geelong.
He has two surviving sisters Mavis Bliss and Nola Terry.
Ivor served in catering of one sort or another almost all his adult life, beginning as a waiter as a cvilian and continuing this career in 2/2 CCS during WW2. Listed as a cook, and as we all know the Army marches on it's stomach.
