Biography contributed by Grace Clark

Sergeant Bert Vale was a Tobruk Rat and later served in New Guinea where he was badly wounded by a Japanese Daisy Cutter Bomb...the bomb had long detonation spikes which made it explode about 6 feet in the air thereby maximising the effect.
