Younger son of Mr. S.H. Hogan, and brother of the late Private G.H. Hogan, Harry was born in 1894 and was employed in the machine department of the Sydney Morning Herald.
He enlisted at the same time and with the same Battalion as his brother, and the two were together till the engagement at Bullecourt, when Harry Hogan was wounded.
