Served in South Vietnam with 7 RAR from 8 April 1967 to 26 April 1968
Returned to South Vietnam and joined 1 ARU on 16 June 1969
Posted to D Company 5 RAR as a Platoon Sergeant 15 October 1969, where he served until he returned to Australia in January 1970.
