He was the son of George Earley of Spencers Wood, Reading.He is remembered on the Spencers Wood War Memorial which is outside, and repeated inside, St Michael and All Angels Church in Spencers Wood, Berkshire. The external memorial takes the form of a roofed, wooden memorial with an ornate inscription which is glazed to protect it from the elements.
