Private (Pte) Edward Ashfield Green, 24th Battalion, of Kerrisdale, Victoria, was a labourer prior to his enlistment in March 1915. He became ill before he could embark for overseas. On 27 May 1915 he died of measles and broncho pneumonia at Base Hospital, St Kilda Road, Melbourne, aged 32.
