Pre-war Occ: Farmer & truck driver
Was wounded 9/2/1942 Tengah (during short battle of Singapore) receiving shrapnel wound left arm.
Part of "J" Force & left Singapore for Japan 15 May 1943.
Whilst in Japan was admitted to Kobe hospital 3 months & Osaka Stadium POW Hospital, Itchioka for 6 months.
He spent further 2 months hospitalised on his return to WA.
