OBITUARY
DR GERSHON BENNETT
The death was announced last Friday, in Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital, of Dr Gershon Bennett, for 25 years senior honorary dental Surgeon to the Alfred Hospital. Dr Bennett, who was 63, was the son-in-law of the late Sir John and Lady Monash, and held the degrees of bachelor of dental science, licentiate in dental surgery (Vic.), and doctor of dental surgery (Pennsylvania). An active, serving colonel in the Australian forces, Dr Bennett served in both World Wars. In the last war he was in charge of the Dental Corps in New Guinea. He was extremely popular in the armed service. He is survived by his wife and family of two sons and one daughter.
