Date of wounded is approximately date only. The wound happened on long range patrol in Salamaua Campaign, Ramu Valley (I believe.)
14 Jan 1947: Discharged Lieutenant, NX.13870, 58/59 (amalgamated) Infantry Battalion AMF, On Cert of Service of an Officer Cert Number 26681dated 14 Jan 1947 states unit was 2/7 Australian Cavalry Regiment but while was in PNG he transferred to 58/59 Infantry Battalion.
