Memories of John from the Johnson family.
John's Uncle Les Hulin, was married to my grandmother Edie.
John and his father Dick Hulin lived around Dirranbandi for a time, and Dick was good mates with my father Don Johnson. Later after Dick passed in 1962 John would come stay with us. He was one of the family and good mates with my brothers Don and Mark.
John was a larakin, a good bloke and a good looking boy. He had a tough childhood and he learned to fight and hold his own.
John could look after himself.
Like his father Henry (Dick ) Hulin WW2 Gunner NX30482, John too was a brave young soldier. He did his best serving this great country in the hell hole known as Veitnam.
Sadly after returning home, John passed too soon.
Always remembered as that young country boy who had no fear.
Miss you John. Rest easy mate.
Don & Nell Johnson & family.
