Hugh Francis Moore formerly of 'Tooloonook' in Yarram, Victoria passed away at the National Capital Private Hospital in Canberra on the 27th of August 2000 - the death notice was placed in the Canberra Times and The Age (Melbourne) - an obituary was published in the Canberra Times 22 September 2000

He served in the RAAF from November 1940 until retiring with the rank of Group Captain in December 1967 - he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) in 1956 for service in Malaya (post WW2 service number O33083)

Then Flight Lieutenant Moore (WW2 service number 400930) was injured when Mosquito aircraft A52-135 crashed at Western Junction in Tasmania on the 3rd of March 1947
