POW

Thomas 'Tom' Alfred Doyle was captured by German forces during the "Battle of Vevi" (also known as the Battle of the Klidi Pass) about the 11th or 12th April 1941.

He spent the rest of the War interned in various POW camps including Stalag 18D, Stalag 18B, Stalag 18A (Austria) and Stalag 357 (North Germany), prior to being liberated by British Troops from the 11th Hussars and 8th Hussars.
