Flight Lieutenant Gordon Ronald Harvey O22048 was shot down while flying Mustang A68-772 near Tandong in North Korea - he was the first of six RAAF pilots to be were shot down and captured in Korea - they were held as Prisoners of War in North Korea until released in September 1953 after the armistice.
