He was 32 and the son of John William and Eleanor Rollo of Burns Street, North Fremonde, Australia. Husband of Eleanor Turnbull Rollo of 32 Edwards Street, Gateshead, Co Durham.
He is one of four Australian casualties of the Great War commemorated on the Berwick-upon-Tweed War Memorial.
