Allan was the youngest of seven children of Robert Easton (born 1878 in Scotland) and Ann Elizabeth Cantlay (born 1878 in Toowoomba, QLD). Robert was a Steam Train Fireman in Brisbane, QLD when he married Ann in Toowoomba, QLD in 1907. Robert and Ann settled in Brisbane where they raised their family.
In July 1942 Allan enlisted in the RAAF and served as a Leading Aircraftman (Service No: 76457) with 3 Aircraft Depot - the main function of 3AD was 'the assembly and despatch of combat aircraft form the United States ... it also performed salvage operations' (https://en.wikipedia.org). Allan's older brothers also served in WWII - John as a Leading Aircraftman (Service No: 76564) in the RAAF and Robert as a Sapper (Service Nos: Q14385/QX60405). Brother-in-Law Stanley Lewin was a Flight Sergeant (Service no: 8697) with 6 Aircraft Depot.
Allan worked as a Painter in Brisbane following his Discharge, and in 1958 married Lorna Ruth, a Nurse. Allan and Lorna settled at The Gap in Brisbane where Allan worked as a Painter and later a public servant. He died in Brisbane in 2001.
