Laurie was serving with Admin Company when he deployed to the Republic of Vietnam on 9 May 1966. Subsequently he served with A Company CHQ, as a hygiene duty-man and also with 1 Platoon as a rifleman. Laurie was returned to Australia on 24 April 1967. In later life Laurie worked with TPI Association, Legacy and the WA 5 RARA committee. - Courtesy of Gary Townsend
