OBITUARY
PERCY WILLIAM SECOMB.
The death occurred in the Coff's Harbour District Hospital on November 23 of Percy William Secomb, of Lower Bucca. Deceased was born on the Macleay River 63 years ago and was a member of a well-known and highly respected family. While still a youth he took over a selection at Dairyville and became ore of the pioneers of the Upper Orara district.
He had four years active service in World War I. as a driver in 1st D.A.C. With his health greatly impaired he returned to Australia at the end of 1919 and again lived at Dairyville for a time.
He then took up wheat and sheep farming in the Inverell district, where he married. Some years later he and his wife and family came to the coast and settled in the Lower Bucca district, where they were occupied in mixed and dairy farming for the past 20 years.
The late P.W. Secomb took a great interest in public affairs and was an active member of many organistions until failing health compelled him to relinquish those duties. His health
steadily declined and for six weeks he was confined to his bed at home. He was only in hospital for two days when he passed away. 
He is survived by his widow, three sons Arthur, Ted and Alan, and one daughter Nona. One son, Robert, predeceased him four months ago. Three brothers. Fred ( Sydney), Lewin
(Dairvville) arid Ray (Woolgoolga) also survive.
After a service in the Methodist Church, conducted bv Rev. J. N. Fullerton, the funeral covtege moved off to the Methodist portion of the Coff's Har bour cemetery. A returned soldiers' service was also conducted at the graveside by Mr. C. Everingham and Mr. S. Bailie.
