There is a descrepency in the year of his birthday. In  WW1 his year of birth was 1893 but when enlisting for WW2 he gave his year of birth as 1900. 

Son of Frank Lay Onus and Amelia Onus of Lawrence Street, Inverell, NSW.

Commenced return to Australia on 24 August 1918 aboard HT Medic disembarking on 13 October 1918
