Bill was a national serviceman who deployed to 1 ARU South Vietnam on 9 April 1969. On 6 May he was posted to the strength of 5 RAR, joining the Trackers Platoon, Support Company. Bill continued in this position until he returned to Australia, with the Battalion, aboard HMAS Sydney.  - Courtesy of Gary Townsend
