Rifleman Charles William Prince was in America when the war broke out and proceeded to France with a view to joining the Australian forces, but finding that they were in Egypt he joined the Rifle Brigade in England. He was wounded in France and subsequently went to Egypt, and is now a signaller with the forces at Salonica.
