Sidney, born 1906 in Kurri Kurri, NSW, was the son of William Williams and Mary Hannah Briggs. William and Mary married in 1889 in Young, NSW. Sidney was a Miner in Kurri Kurri, NSW when he married Ivy Mary Alexandria Richards (born 1910 in Woollongong, NSW) in 1928.
Sidney and Ivy lived in Kurri Kurri where Sidney worked as a Miner before moving to Marrickville, Sydney, NSW in the mid 1930s, where Sidney worked as a Moulder. He was a Motor Driver in 1941 when he enlisted in the ACMF. He was a Private (Service No:N108723) attached to 124 Reserve Motor Transport Coy when he was Discharged in October 1942.
Ivy died in 1943 and Sidney worked in Sydney, NSW before retiring to Ulladulla, NSW, where he died in 1989.
