Sydney Pilot Missing

Nugent Bull, 32, a member of a Newtown family of funeral directors, has been reported missing after air operations last Sunday.  He is the youngest son of the late Mr and Mrs W.N. Bull.  He left Sydney three years ago to join Franco's army in the Spanish civil war.  Afterward he went to London and joined the Royal Air Force.  In a letter from London two months ago, he told his relatives that he had qualified as a pilot.

Relatives of Sergeant Nugent Bull (32) , of Sydney, who was reported missing after air operations in England last Sunday, are confident he is safe. His brother, Mr. G. Bull, of King Street, Newtown, said yesterday: "If there was a chance for Nugent to land on his feet he'd take it."
Nugent Bull is the youngest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. N. Bull, of the Newtown family of funeral directors. He was educated at St, Joseph's college. Three years ago he went to Spain and joined
Franco's army in the Spanish Civil War.
When the war ended he became chauffeur to one of Franco's generals. 
About a year agohe went to England and joined the R.A.F. In a letter received a week ago by a friend, in Sydney, Sergeant Bull said he had qualified as a pilot, coming top of his class.
Before he left Sydney Sergeant Bull was accountant at Luna Park. He was a member of the Haddington Cricket Club.
